Emily offers a unique opportunity to meet with her successively over several days for a deepening into the teachings only possible through an extended program conducted in an environment of wellness, natural beauty, and personal authenticity.  The four small-group sessions with Emily will include a combination of meditative talks, discussion, and facilitated self-investigation, and will focus on guiding each participant toward an internal realignment with that which is hopeful, wise, and life-affirming.

Believed by many to be sacred, Mount Shasta in northern California exudes a palpable energy that draws seekers captured by the mountain's power and presence.  The stunning 14,179 foot peak presides over crystal clear lakes and streams, alpine meadows, and rain-shadow forests that give way to high-desert expanses.  Our private retreat land gives us a taste of this gorgeous scenery, but we will also make time for an off-site excursion to take in the area's natural wonders.

Sacred Springs is a 4+ bedroom luxury retreat cabin on the banks of the Upper Sacramento River in Dunsmuir, CA.  Set on 4 private acres with expansive decks overlooking the 600+ yards of river frontage, it provides an ideal setting for rest, contemplation, and self-pampering.

As part of our goal of wellness and renewal, our caterers will serve fresh, organic produce; free-range and hormone-free meats and eggs; whole grains; and sumptuous desserts at delicious community meals throughout the weekend, in addition to snacks, coffee, and tea.  Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available, with an emphasis on whole foods that are wheat- and dairy-free.  With a small group like ours, special dietary needs are easily accommodated.

The Sound of Rain offers a shuttle directly from Portland to the retreat center.  The shuttle will leave Portland in the morning on Friday September 21, and will return in the afternoon Monday September 24.  People living in Corvallis or other locations along the 1-5 corridor can arrange to be picked up. We stop for lunch on the way, and upon arrival in Mt. Shasta, wash the road off at beautiful Stewart Mineral Springs.  Start your retreat weekend with a relaxing ride, followed by a hot mineral soak and sauna to soothe your mind and nourish your body, so that you arrive at your first sitting with Emily refreshed and centered.
